After Mark had a brief stint
as a standup comic, (just ask him about his impression of "Silence
of the Lambs" with a flour tortilla on his face) he luckily settled
into a career in design and animation.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Florida, Mark always had a love of art. His career spans over the course of twenty five years. During that time, he has been involved with hundreds of design, animation and illustration projects.
In 1988, Mark relocated to Dallas, Texas. Freelance projects included the launch of "Zombie
Boy" and animation for PBS, Spike and Mike’s Festival of Animation, and Warner Cable.
Mark joined the marketing team at Beckett Publications in 1991. He gained valuable experience as a Designerstrengthening his creative skills while overseeing photo shoots and major design projects. He sharpened his computer skills and became proficient in Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash.

Animation
Mark's success continued at Beckett Publications as he became an integral part of a new divisionEntertainment. As art director for Beckett Entertainment, Mark’s responsibilities included the art direction and coordination of all original intellectual properties, helping the company to create and nurture their concepts from the initial concept to the final product. His job requirements included conception and brainstorming, pre-visualization, scripting, story boarding, character and environmental designs, melody writing and lyricist. Illustration
Graphic design projects include brochures, posters, newsletters, direct mail, and ad campaigns, just to name a few. Mark has also illustrated for magazines, comic books, and multi-media. For a few examples click here >>
